Sydney, August 08, 2023 – HIF Global, the world’s leading eFuels company, today announced the appointment of Juan-José Zentner as Chief Legal Officer to oversee the company´s legal affairs and legal department.
Mr. Zentner will be responsible for the legal strategy, contracts and commercial agreements of HIF Global’s eFuels projects worldwide, as well as the legal advisory for financing processes, legal risk analysis, and compliance.

Juan-José was a Projects, Energy, and Infrastructure partner at Herbert Smith Freehills for more than a decade, having worked across the Melbourne, New York, and Sydney offices. He had an international career representing the firm’s clients in Latin America including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil, and led the firm’s Latin American projects practice. His broad experience in construction contracts, off-take agreements and other project documentation resulted in him being ranked for many years in Chambers Global and Legal 500 for his Latin American work.
Mr. Zentner holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and Arts from the University of Melbourne and a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the SIA (Corporate Finance stream).
