HIF Cabo Negro

Punta Arenas, Chile

About

The Cabo Negro e-Fuel facility has a production capacity of 175,000 tons/year of e-Methanol that can be totally or partially converted to e-Gasoline and e-LG, reaching a maximum production of 70,000 tons/year of e-Gasoline and 8,030 tons/year of e-LG. The facility will be powered by renewable energy from the Faro del Sur wind park (384 MW).

The wind park will have a 3D radar-assisted detention system, and it includes a 66 kV subway transmission line, which will be located between km 36 and 26.5 of Route 9 north in the Cabo Negro industrial sector.

HIF Cabo Negro considers using CO₂ from three alternative sources: biomass conversion, direct air capture and other industrial sources.
